Hello!
Apologies for my absence from the blogging world for the last few months. We have been busy planning an exciting year of events for PerfCorp fans!
Not that I’m realeasing any of that information….yet!
But since Christmas it has been a busy couple of months. We received a large number of applications for this years SPACE programme, both National and International. So a big thank you to everyone who applied. 2009 Participants will be announced early next week.
This year’s residency is shaping up to be even more exciting than last years debut. Running from Monday 23rd March till Friday 3rd April, the sparks will fly between a new mix of Artist’s here at Castletown. We will be organising trips for our artists to various events in the city, so keep an eye out in case you bump into them. We’ll be blogging updates during the residency to give you a glimpse of the action.
Tom Swift our Associate Writer is away in Paris on a three month Residency in the Centre Culturel Irlandais, writing up a storm. Watch the blog for some Parisian themed updates.
Jo Mangan – our Artistic Director was over in New York in January for APAP’s annual conference (Association of Arts Presenters and Producers). Jo represented The Performance Corporation as part of the Irish Delegation, thanks to Culture Ireland. Under the Radar Festival by NY Public Theater ran alongside the conference.
Meanwhile Kelly and I have been holding down the fort in the office. We tidied our way through the paperwork from The Nose and all the accounting beauty that comes at the beginning of the year and now we are ready for the year ahead.
More soon.
